Our Story
Welcome to my/our new blog! As it says above, I'm Em, I'm homeschooling my son, M (13). I am a writer as well as now a homeschooling Mom. Welcome to the second year of our journey. Like many people we became homeschoolers because of Covid. M was about to change schools, head into middle school for 7th grade, and my district (which is a great school district) was dragging their heels on what they were going to do for the 2020-21 school year. I got tired of waiting (I'm a planner) and decided to pull the kiddo. Now, I've always been interested in homeschooling. But M went to an amazing pre-school and a pretty great elementary school with great teachers. I thought if I homeschooled, it would have to be in the younger years. Homeschooling a middle schooler wasn't even on my radar. Until I met another Mom who homeschooled her older kids because she loved the elemenatry school but thought the other schools were just okay.
